About the Role
As an IT Systems Administrator, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure mission-critical systems are resilient and scalable. Key responsibilities include managing Windows/Linux servers, administering cloud services, maintaining network security, designing backup strategies, automating tasks, troubleshooting system issues, and providing user support.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years administering Windows and/or Linux server environments in production.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi or Hyper-V).
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall rules.
- Demonstrated knowledge of backup solutions and DR planning.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and patch-management best practices.
Preferred:
- Certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, Azure Administrator (AZ-104), AWS SysOps, VMware VCP, or CompTIA Security+.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
- Exposure to ITIL processes and ticketing systems (ConnectWise Manage).
- Exposure to ConnectWise Control RMM.
- Scripting in Python, PowerShell Core, or Bash for automation and reporting.
