Summary
Bowman Williams is seeking an IT System Engineer – Jack of All Trades (MSP) to join their team in Alpharetta, GA. This role combines high-level technical expertise with strategic account management to provide Tier 3 support and lead IT projects for client accounts.
About the Role
As an IT System Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical contact for assigned clients, build strong client relationships, translate technical details into business language, lead design and deployment of IT solutions including servers, networks, cloud services, and software, manage projects from planning to delivery, take ownership of major incidents and drive resolution, oversee ticket progress and guide technicians, and act as a Tier 3 engineer for complex challenges in networking, Microsoft 365/Azure, and cybersecurity.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering or similar role (MSP experience preferred)
- Tier 3-level expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud migrations
- Strong knowledge of networking infrastructure, firewalls, VPNs, DNS/DHCP
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Proven ability to manage client relationships while handling high-level technical work
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical solutions clearly
- Leadership skills to mentor junior staff and coordinate teams
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple accounts, tickets, and projects
