Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union is seeking an IT Network Security Engineer III to join their IT Network Services team in San Antonio, Texas. The role involves leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of network security technology and systems.
About the Role
As an IT Network Security Engineer III, you will be responsible for senior-level configuration and troubleshooting of network components, acting as a top-level escalation point for technical support, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with vendors and project management. Your tasks will include leading security reviews, conducting vulnerability remediation, and ensuring proper installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN equipment.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of five years' relevant experience
- Senior level knowledge of network and ancillary systems including their installation, monitoring and troubleshooting
- Advanced configuration and command line experience with Cisco IOS or NX-OS switches and routers
Preferred:
- CCNP, Palo Alto, Fortinet, cloud, network or security specialty certifications
- Knowledge of telephony, PC/Server operating systems, video conferencing concepts
- Intermediate knowledge of VoIP and SIP, Wi-Fi, web applications, APIs and automation (Ansible/Python)
