Summary

CFGI is seeking experienced Controllers and CFOs for Interim CFO and Controller Opportunities to lead embedded advisory projects for private equity and corporate clients on a contractual basis.

About the Role

As an Interim CFO or Controller, you will lead post-closing accounting and finance initiatives for newly acquired private equity-backed enterprises, manage month-end closing processes, oversee day-to-day accounting functions, and prepare financial reports for stakeholders. You will also analyze financial information, develop performance measures, maintain relationships with private equity sponsors, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance; active CPA certification preferred.
12+ years of experience in an accounting and finance environment.
Prior experience as a Controller, VP Finance, or CFO for at least five years.
Experience in high-growth PE-backed companies with P&L ownership.

Preferred:

Extensive experience in establishing daily, weekly, monthly reporting for stakeholders.
Strong communication skills to interact with PE sponsor deal teams and portfolio company senior management.
Ability to optimize financial statement closing processes.
Experience in lender compliance reporting and financial analysis.
