Brothers Building A Better Nation (BBABN) is a nonprofit organization based in Newark, New Jersey, committed to dismantling systemic barriers that disproportionately impact Black, Indigenous, and Men of Color. Founded in response to youth violence and the absence of culturally responsive services, BBABN exists to confront the root causes of trauma, disconnection, and inequity affecting BIPOC youth. The organization provides a continuum of care that includes Medicaid-funded behavioral health services, intensive mentorship, academic support, and workforce development. BBABN’s programs are designed to meet youth where they are, whether in crisis, in schools, or in the community, offering trusted support that centers healing, belonging, and opportunity. With deep cultural alignment to the communities it serves, BBABN aims to transform how care is accessed and experienced by young people and families often marginalized by traditional systems. Its work builds power at the neighborhood level, creating sustainable pathways to mental wellness, educational stability, and economic mobility for the next generation.
