Summary
Ketjen Corporation is seeking an Instrument Mechanic 1/C to join their team in Pasadena, Texas. The role involves executing inspections, troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining various instrumentation and electrical systems.
About the Role
As an Instrument Mechanic 1/C, you will be responsible for executing and documenting inspections of critical instrumentation, troubleshooting and repairing field devices, and assisting operations with complex process conditions. Your daily tasks will include maintaining and calibrating equipment such as transmitters, control valves, and flow meters, as well as inspecting and adjusting weight scales used for process verifications.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma, Equivalent GED, or NCCER certification for Industrial Instrumentation.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Industrial Instrumentation.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Industrial Electrical Systems.
- Experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing pneumatic, electronic, and instrumentation equipment in a Petro-Chemical Processing Plant.
- Ability to receive direction from senior technicians and interface with operations personnel.
- Willingness to cross-train and perform essential functions of an Electrician.
- Ability to install Process Impulse Tubing, understand basic process controls, and read instruction manuals.
Preferred:
- Associate of Science Degree in Industrial Instrumentation.
- 10 years’ experience in an Industrial plant facility.
- 5 years' experience in Industrial Electrical Systems.
- Proficiency in utilizing Computer Software including Microsoft Office, Workday, SharePoint, Adobe.
- Good communication skills for interaction with chemical plant employees.
- Skills in troubleshooting/repairing/calibrating/installing primary measuring elements and basic DCS/PLC programming.
