Summary
UC Berkeley Extension is seeking instructors for the Instructor Pool - Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) position to teach online courses for a newly-developed SEL Certificate Program.
About the Role
As an instructor in the SEL program, you will teach online courses aimed at equipping educators with knowledge and strategies to implement evidence-based social and emotional learning in schools. Responsibilities include advising students on projects, collaborating with course developers, and utilizing online teaching platforms. The courses will be delivered asynchronously with live classes, focusing on systemic SEL and promoting well-being among students and educators.
About You
Required:
- Advanced Degree in a relevant field.
- All work must be performed in the United States.
Preferred:
- Advanced Degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Education, Social and Emotional Learning, or related fields.
- 3 or more years of experience implementing social and emotional learning in a classroom with PreK-12 students.
- 5 or more years of experience teaching at a U.S. PreK-12 school/college/university.
Benefits
- Competitive salary of $5,000 to $6,500 per assigned course.
