Summary
Purple Jay (SDVOSB) is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join their team in Ashburn, VA. The role involves supporting enterprise security initiatives through technical expertise and cyber risk consulting.
About the Role
As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing cybersecurity data, supporting security control reviews, developing security policies, monitoring security incidents, and collaborating with teams to enhance organizational security posture. You will also engage in risk assessments and provide quality deliverables for cyber risk consulting engagements.
About You
Required:
- Strong knowledge of information security principles: confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks: NIST SP 800-53, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS.
- Understanding of network protocols, cloud technologies, and operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Experience with security tools: firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, vulnerability scanners.
Preferred:
- Basic knowledge of threat intelligence gathering and threat hunting methodologies.
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) are a plus.
