Summary
CorVel Corporation is seeking an Indemnity Claims Specialist to manage lower-level, non-complex workers’ compensation claims in a remote position.
About the Role
As an Indemnity Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving claims, confirming policy coverage, determining validity and compensability, establishing reserves, and authorizing payments. You will manage non-complex medical only claims and minor lost-time claims under supervision, communicate claim status, adhere to guidelines, and assist with more complex claims as needed.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience and claims management preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- State Certification as an Experienced Examiner.
- Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office including Excel.
