About the Role
As a Hospice Volunteer, you will serve as an integral member of the interdisciplinary group, participating in home care, respite, inpatient, and administrative duties. Your responsibilities will include providing support to patients and families, performing homemaker chores, running errands, and maintaining open communication with the Volunteer Coordinator. You will also participate in volunteer support groups and quality assessment activities.
About You
Required:
- Mature individual supportive of the hospice concept and willing to serve others in a volunteer capacity.
- Successful completion of the hospice's volunteer training and orientation program.
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary group.
- If making home visits, must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order.
Preferred:
- Previous volunteer experience may be helpful.
