About the Role

As a Health Unit Coordinator, you will be responsible for monitoring and ordering supplies, answering patient call lights, elevating patient needs to nursing staff, and assisting with managing orders in the electronic health record (EHR). You will communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and facility staff, and support the healthcare team by anticipating and responding to requests and patient needs.

About You

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of computer systems and strong keyboarding skills.

Preferred:

Successful completion of HUC post-secondary program or HUC Certification.
Minimum of one year working experience in a medical environment.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
Preferred proficiency of computer skills and working knowledge with EHR systems, EPIC.
Outstanding customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
