Summary

About the Role

As the Head of Data Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the strategy, design, implementation, and governance of the enterprise data platform. Your responsibilities include defining the long-term data platform engineering roadmap, architecting cloud-native data solutions, optimizing scalable data platforms, leading data migrations, overseeing data management and quality, and enabling MLOps/ModelOps support. You will also evaluate emerging technologies, collaborate with stakeholders, and manage a high-performing global team.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
20+ years of IT experience with at least 10+ years in Data Engineering.
Experience in the Life & Annuities Insurance or financial services sector.
Proven experience with cloud-native data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong leadership skills in managing large cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or data engineering.
Expertise in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT frameworks (e.g., Apache NiFi, Airflow).
Solid understanding of MLOps/ModelOps frameworks (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
