Summary
Verus Associates is seeking a General Manager, Automation, Engineering and Consulting to join their team in San Diego, CA. The role involves leading and managing the development, operations, and financial aspects of the office while ensuring successful project delivery and business development.
About the Role
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing project delivery, operations, client relationships, and financial performance. You will collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure projects are executed consistently and in alignment with company strategies. Additionally, you will lead business development efforts, manage office performance, and foster a collaborative team environment.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
- 10 to 12 years' proven automation and engineering experience with an engineering consulting firm, with at least 5 years in a lead position.
- Proven experience leading design teams within a multi-discipline engineering environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing proposals and delivering presentations.
- Understanding of Financial Reports and project budgets.
Preferred:
- Enhanced knowledge of Integration and Programming such as PLC programming, DCS configuration and programming, RTU programming, HMI/SCADA programming.
- Good commercial acumen, with experience of interfacing with clients.
- Proposal development and project estimating experience.
