Summary
Jobot is seeking a Fund Controller to join their team in Cape St Claire, MD. The role involves overseeing fund accounting in the Private Equity and Real Estate industry, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
About the Role
As a Fund Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the accurate calculation of NAV/GAV, managing financial close for funds, applying your knowledge of REIT accounting, collaborating with team members to meet reporting deadlines, implementing internal controls, assisting with year-end close, and utilizing Yardi for property accounting.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in fund accounting, with a focus on the mortgage industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of real estate, private equity, and REIT accounting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.
- Experience in investor reporting and financial close for funds.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- CPA certification.
- Previous experience in a big 4 firm.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
