About the Role
As a Front Office Specialist, you will be responsible for answering and screening incoming calls, greeting and registering patients, filing and preparing charts, and handling check-out functions including co-payment collection and appointment scheduling. You will work under the supervision of the provider and/or practice leader, ensuring a smooth administrative process within the practice.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous front office experience or background in general office work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality/discretion.
- Patient, courteous, and tactful demeanor.
- Strong communication skills to relate well with staff and the public.
- Ability to follow direction and perform repetitive tasks.
- Computer literate in word processing and email.
Preferred:
- 1-year experience in a medical/physician office setting.
- Experience in electronic medical records.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
