FlexTrade Systems is seeking a FIX Analyst to join their team in Great Neck, NY. The role involves testing and setting up FIX connectivity for various asset classes and managing client connectivity processes.
About the Role
As a FIX Analyst, you will be responsible for configuring new FIX connections, troubleshooting related tasks, maintaining production service bureau connections, managing communication with brokers, and handling migration or implementation projects. You will work within a Unix/Linux environment and must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- In-depth knowledge of the FIX (Financial Information eXchange) protocol.
- Sound technical background in Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Knowledge of trading products in Equities, FX, Futures, and Options markets.
- Working knowledge of Shell, Perl, XML, and C++ scripting.
- Good understanding of network connection types and TCP/IP.
- Minimum of two years of securities industry knowledge.
Preferred:
- Programming experience is a plus but not essential.
- Ability to independently analyze, research, and solve complex technical problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
