Summary
ABB is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves planning and executing complex technical field assignments related to the installation, modification, testing, inspection, or repair of company products and equipment.
About the Role
As a Marine Field Service Engineer, you will work independently to install, modify, test, repair, or inspect various company products including low and medium voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and rotating machinery. You will also coordinate with other groups to meet customer commitments and recommend measures to improve operations and customer service. Your responsibilities will include interpreting technical drawings and schematics, performing diverse engineering activities associated with field projects, and increasing your technical knowledge through training and resources.
About You
Required:
- Associate's Degree in engineering or other technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in marine power generation and power distribution with a focus on circuit breaker and switchgear maintenance.
- Ability to travel 70%.
- Strong knowledge of protection relays and excitation.
- Familiarity with marine/offshore work environment and procedures.

- A special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
