About the Role
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you will perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, maintain medical records, and collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans. You will also prescribe medications and educate nursing staff on best practices. The position requires a set weekend schedule of 12 hours, including Saturdays and Sundays.
About You
Required:
- All RN licenses/certificates to practice.
- All nurse practitioner licenses/certificates to practice.
- State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable).
- Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
- Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required).
- Master Degree in Science of Nursing.
- CPR Certification must include hands-on evaluation of skills.
Preferred:
- At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and workflow management skills.
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
