Pantex Plant is seeking a Facility Engineering-Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team in Amarillo, TX. The role involves providing technical solutions and overseeing engineering practices related to civil and structural engineering within a nuclear regulated environment.
About the Role
As a Facility Engineering-Civil/Structural Engineer, you will coordinate configuration management activities, assess system health and performance, and provide technical responsibility for plant system operability and maintenance. Your responsibilities will include building evaluations, seismic analyses, and machine installations, as well as developing structural drawings and specifications. You will work closely with other disciplines to resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with engineering standards.
About You
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA or a Master’s degree with a minimum 3.3/4.0 GPA.
Must meet Department of Energy (DOE) O 426.2 requirements, including 2 years job-related experience and at least 1 year of nuclear experience.
Preferred:
Experience with Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) and 3D modeling.
Familiarity with consensus design codes and structural modeling using STAAD Pro.
