Summary
Flex is seeking an Equipment Automation Technician to join their team in Austin, TX. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting automation and robotic systems to ensure continuous operation.
About the Role
As an Equipment Automation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, and modifying automation and robotic system components. Your daily tasks will include troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, ensuring preventative maintenance is completed, and collaborating with the automation team in the qualification process of automated systems. You will also assist engineers in developing hardware and software for automation solutions and perform calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment.
About You
Required:
- Experience with material handling, automation, and/or robotics equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
Preferred:
- Computer skills.
- Experience in electronic assembly including schematics, PCB loading, and mechanical assembly.
