Clean Earth is seeking an Environmental Technician I to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves consolidating, treating, storing, transporting, and disposing of hazardous waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
About the Role
As an Environmental Technician I, you will be responsible for handling hazardous materials, operating forklifts and mobile equipment, and completing documentation in accordance with regulations. You will work in various environmental conditions and may be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills to complete web-based training.
- Ability to understand and respond to written and verbal English.
- Ability to work outdoors in all climate conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled conditions.
- Willingness to wear company-issued personal protection equipment.
Preferred:
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand and walk over uneven surfaces for extended periods.
- Visual acuity to read labels and documentation.
- Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes and alarms.
