About the Role
As an Engineer in the Commercial Solar Construction Department, you will work closely with the sales team to transition customer contracts into system designs, including electrical schematics and mechanical designs. You will produce project proposals, ensure compliance with the National Electric Code, generate design drawings for permits and installations, and provide technical support to clients. This position offers significant exposure to the solar and energy storage industry, promoting rapid career growth.
About You
Required:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- Minimum 1-2 years relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise complex parallel project activities.
- Familiarity with CAD design software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong customer-facing written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with key PV systems components and their functions.
- Must have a valid clean driver's license and the ability to pass a 10-year background check and drug screening.
Preferred:
- Experience in the solar industry.
- Ability to learn and utilize HelioScope, Energy Toolbase, and PVSyst solar design software.
- Familiarity with 3 phase commercial and industrial electrical services.
- Willingness to participate in PV install projects on an occasional basis.
- Ability to learn site and electrical survey skills for project proposal preparation.
