About the Role
As an EMS Dispatcher III, you will be responsible for receiving and processing incoming and outgoing communications, differentiating between routine and priority messages, maintaining confidentiality, and complying with all relevant laws and regulations. You will also manage resource requests for large-scale incidents, communicate with other dispatch centers, and document all relevant information between prehospital providers and receiving facilities.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in dispatching law enforcement, fire department, or EMS services.
- Working knowledge of the radio system and its components.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
Preferred:
- Experience working with case managers and insurance providers.
- Knowledge of county geo-political boundaries, major highways, and landmarks.
