Summary
Livent, now Rio Tinto is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join their team in Bessemer City, NC. The role involves ensuring the reliability, compliance, enhancement, and expansion of the site’s electrical and instrumentation systems.
About the Role
As an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and oversight in the development, standardization, procurement, construction, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation components and systems. You will champion a safety-first culture, lead preventive and predictive maintenance practices, and mentor junior engineers and technicians. Your responsibilities will also include engineering design, project execution, and serving as the primary technical authority on E&I matters.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Minimum of six (6) years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Preferred:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- In-depth experience with transformers, MCC’s, variable speed motors, and process control instrumentation.
