Summary
W. R. Grace is seeking a Director, Capital Systems and Projects to join their corporate COE in Columbia, MD. The role involves leading capital allocation and project execution for the company, ensuring financial controls and management of resources are met.
About the Role
As the Director, Capital Systems and Projects, you will manage a global team responsible for executing capital projects over $2MM, with an annual capital portfolio spend of $200-250MM. You will drive capital project work processes, coordinate Gatekeeping reviews, ensure asset design meets business purposes, and monitor project performance against key indicators. This role requires collaboration with engineering disciplines and oversight of project controls responsibilities.
About You
Required:
- B.S. Degree in chemical, mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum 20+ years of experience in Project Management in Operations or Engineering plus 10+ years of engineering project management experience in a petrochemical or chemical engineering.
- Experience working as an Owners representative (in-house).
- Supervisory experience in managing internal and external project team members who are geographically dispersed.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to understand a range of chemical manufacturing processes and Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.
Preferred:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Proven track record of success in leading large scope, multi-site, regional and/or global project initiatives.
