Children's Emergency Relief International (CERI) is seeking a Development Officer to join their team in Austin, TX. The role involves partnering with the President to drive donor engagement, fundraising operations, and strategic growth.
About the Role
As a Development Officer, you will support all aspects of fundraising, including donor cultivation, acknowledgements, Salesforce reporting, policy compliance, and liaising with the finance department. You will manage purchase orders for domestic operations and ensure that CERI's development infrastructure is efficient and donor-centered. Key responsibilities include partnering with the President to cultivate donor relationships, maintaining accurate donor records, managing the development budget, and traveling internationally to support fundraising efforts.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, public relations, marketing, communications, nonprofit management, social work, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in development, fundraising, or a transferable field such as recruiting, student admissions, advancement, or donor/customer cultivation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with executive leadership.
Preferred:
- Comfort with data entry, reporting, and donor stewardship.
- Experience in developing fundraising campaigns and materials.
