DAHLIN Architecture | Planning | Interiors is seeking a Design Manager - Planning to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves leading and delivering various project types from front-end design through schematic design while managing client relationships and business development.
About the Role
As a Design Manager - Planning, you will drive business growth in the Texas market, support new business development, and maintain relationships with existing clients. You will lead cross-functional project teams, manage project processes, prepare and negotiate proposals, and ensure successful project execution. This hybrid position requires in-state travel for client meetings and occasional visits to the Austin office.
About You
Required:
- 8+ years of relevant planning experience.
- Design Management experience from early concept through entitlement required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Interior Design, Urban Design, Planning or Architecture.
- Proven track record of success in a client-facing business development role.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to manage projects.
Preferred:
- Registered Planner, Interior Designer or Architect.
- Strong understanding of Planning & Entitlement packages.
- Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, Enscape, Bluebeam and Adobe Creative Suite.
