About the Role
As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining inventories of supplies, cleaning and sterilizing instruments, preparing instrument trays, explaining procedures to patients, assisting dentists during procedures, taking x-rays, and instructing patients in oral hygiene. You may also orient dental students and may require travel to other facilities to support Dental Health Services.
About You
Required:
- Completion of a dental assistant program from an accredited institution.
- One year of on-the-job training as a dental assistant and required x-ray training.
Preferred:
- Proven knowledge of dental equipment, instruments, and procedures.
- Two years of experience and knowledge of Dental Software.
