About the Role
As a Denial Coder, you will interact with internal and external clients, review and analyze denied charges, and ensure compliance with medical coding policies. Your responsibilities will include coding based on medical documentation, providing denial trends to leadership, and supporting documentation improvement initiatives.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience coding and charge processing in a non-facility setting required.
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS-P) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is required.
Preferred:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in medical record administration or equivalent is preferred.
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) is a plus.
