As a Data Analyst in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division at NYC Emergency Management, you will work under the supervision of the Directors of Data Engineering and GIS Data Development. Responsibilities include data acquisition, QA/QC, data maintenance, and management tasks, creating maps and data products, and supporting preparedness and response operations. You will analyze and display GIS data using various applications, develop automated data pipelines, and support GIS staff and agency users.

About You

Required:

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years of professional experience in emergency management, public safety, public health, public administration, urban planning, engineering, or a related field.
Or a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of professional experience in the areas listed above.
Or a master's degree from an accredited college in emergency management, public administration, urban planning, engineering, economics, political science, the physical sciences, or a related field and one year of professional experience in the areas listed above.

Preferred:

Experience with Esri cloud (ArcGIS Online) and desktop products (ArcGIS Pro).
Experience working with geospatial data types.
