About the Role
As a participant in the NASA Postdoctoral Program, you will contribute to the development of the data analysis pipeline for the Compton Spectrometer and Imager (COSI). This role involves programming in Python or C++ to assist in raw data conversion, response generation, event reconstruction, calibration, and high-level analysis tools. You will collaborate with the COSI Science Team to perform simulations and predictions for COSI science observations.
About You
Required:
- Doctoral degree in a relevant field.
- Strong programming background, preferably in Python or C++.
Preferred:
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with astrophysics or related scientific fields.
