Labcorp is seeking a Full-Time Cytotechnologist to join their team in Lakewood, CO. The role involves screening and evaluating gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens to determine possible malignant or related abnormal conditions.
About the Role
As a Cytotechnologist, you will be responsible for performing microscopic evaluations of cytological specimens, ensuring proper documentation, maintaining integrity in reporting results, and complying with safety and infection control policies. You will work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours, contributing to the improvement of health and lives.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university.
- Successful completion of an accredited Cytology program.
- ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is required.
- Must pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency test.
Preferred:
- Prior experience working in Cytology.
- ThinPrep and SurePath certifications.
- Automated and non-automated testing experience.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
