About the Role
As a Crime Victim Advocate, you will review law enforcement crime reports, communicate with victims to provide guidance, and act as a liaison with law enforcement and prosecutors. Your responsibilities will include providing crisis intervention, counseling services, and information about legal processes. You will also prepare reports, maintain records, and interact with community organizations to explain the objectives of the Victim Assistance Unit.
About You
Required:
- College credit hours equivalent to an Associate’s degree in Human Services, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in social work, counseling, or crisis intervention.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred:
- Criminal justice degree and crisis intervention experience.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).
