About the Role
As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the credentialing process, including preparing correspondence, resolving complex issues, and ensuring all credentialing deadlines are met. You will perform primary source verifications, compile necessary documentation, and maintain accurate practitioner information in the credentialing database. Additionally, you will assist with financial management tasks and participate in departmental projects.
About You
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Three years of experience in Medical Staff Credentialing/Privileging in a hospital setting.
- Three years of experience with word-processing and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred:
- Experience with credentialing software.
- CPMSM - Certified Professional Medical Services Management (NAMSS) or CPCS - Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (NAMSS).
