About the Role
As a Counselor at BestSelf Behavioral Health, you will work directly with individuals facing mental health, substance use, or co-occurring challenges. Your responsibilities will include employing evidence-based and trauma-informed care practices, conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. You will also respond to crises, develop safety plans, and promote healthier choices through a harm reduction model.
About You
Required:
- Minimum Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or CASAC-T/CASAC-P.
- Professional licensure: LMSW, LMFT, MHC-P, CASAC, CRC, LMHC, LCSW preferred.
- Knowledge of common intervention techniques and mental health diagnoses.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with community resources.
- Proficiency with Windows-based software applications.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records databases.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to travel between sites.
Preferred:
- Experience in crisis counseling.
- Understanding of cross-cultural counseling issues.
