Summary
Komline is seeking a Cost Estimator II to join their team in Rockford, IL. The role involves collaborating with the sales team to provide cost estimation and develop detailed technical proposals for customized machining solutions.
About the Role
As a Cost Estimator II, you will prepare accurate cost estimates and comprehensive written quotes for products, perform preliminary system sizing quotations, contact suppliers for pricing, and accompany Sales Representatives to customer sites. You will also collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams, assist in creating proposal drawings, and conduct special projects such as market studies and product analysis.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of experience in machine cost estimating or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated skills in mechanical design, including knowledge of mechanical systems and principles.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with drafting software such as AutoCAD.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve detailed issues.
- Ability to prioritize competing priorities to meet expectations of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred:
- Experience with Salesforce.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP.
