Summary
Barracuda is seeking a Corporate Counsel Director (Corporate and Employment Matters) to join their global legal department in the SF Bay Area. The role focuses on corporate matters and employment law, supporting various teams within the company.
About the Role
As a Corporate Counsel Director, you will evaluate legal risks, provide subject matter expertise on global employment law issues, collaborate with HR and compliance on employment-related matters, monitor legislation, and support corporate governance activities. You will also manage board meetings, assist with insurance renewals, and coordinate with outside counsel on various legal matters.
About You
Required:
- JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
- Active member in good standing of a state bar (California a plus).
- 6-10 years of relevant legal experience with a mix of corporate law firm and/or in-house experience.
- Broad knowledge of corporate secretary practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong management skills and ability to motivate others.
- Experience dealing with highly confidential information.
Preferred:
- Experience in employment law compliance and training.
- Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence.
- Flexible and proactive approach to problem solving.
