About the Role
As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating strategic sourcing for assigned indirect categories, developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and leading cost reduction initiatives. Your daily tasks will include building supplier relationships, ensuring effective purchasing practices, analyzing market conditions, and driving compliance with company policies.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated expertise with ERP systems and procurement tools.
- Experience in a procurement or purchasing function supporting a manufacturing organization.
- Proven track record in handling commercial and contractual negotiations.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of the scientific and technical markets that LGC operates in.
- Experience in a complex laboratory environment.
- Relevant qualification (e.g., APICS/CIPS) or equivalent professional experience.
