Summary
LMR Technical Group is seeking a Cognitive Performance Specialist to join their team at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. The role involves applying performance psychology techniques to optimize aircrew cognitive readiness.
About the Role
As a Cognitive Performance Specialist (CPS), you will be embedded with US Air Force fighter squadrons in the Optimizing the Human Weapon System (OHWS) program. Your responsibilities will include creating, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating mental performance sessions, documenting aircrew assessments, applying cognitive enhancement tools, integrating with the Human Performance Team, tracking cognitive programs, conducting applied research, and providing educational sessions.
About You
Required:
- Master’s degree in Sport Psychology, Human Performance, or related field from an accredited college/university.
- 2+ years of experience providing Cognitive Performance services in Tactical (military), Collegiate or Professional Sports, Aerospace, or similar high-performance environments.
- Current CPR and AED certification.
- Current (or ability to obtain and maintain) Secret security clearance.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Expert knowledge of applied sport/performance psychology.
- Strong facilitation, research, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with operational and high-stress environments.
