Gosiger is seeking a CNC Applications Engineer to join their team in Dayton, OH. The role involves providing technical expertise to customers, performing machine set-up, programming, and training to ensure customer satisfaction.
About the Role
As a CNC Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for building relationships with customers and vendors, providing pre-sale technical support, performing tooling and fixturing set-ups, interpreting part prints, and designing machine programming processes. You will also provide troubleshooting support, conduct training sessions, and travel to customer sites as needed. Your role will require maintaining documentation and records for machine processes and assisting in project management.
About You
Required:
- Two-year Degree or formal coursework and/or basic or moderate experience in applications.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of machine tool products, options, and functions.
- Experience in Machine Tool programming, program modification, and set-up.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design processes for machine tool equipment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive a vehicle.
Preferred:
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated self-starter and effective use of organization and planning skills.
- Demonstrated Project Management Skills.
- PC literate and skill efficiency in job-related software/programs.
