About the Role
As the Choral Director, you will be responsible for scheduling and conducting rehearsals, acting as the Director and MC during performances, recruiting new members, selecting songs for events, determining necessary instruments for concerts, and collaborating with the BCC Board on venue selection and other responsibilities to enhance the chorus's image and performances.
About You
Required:
- Demonstrate understanding and ability to teach members with multiple learning styles and abilities.
- Demonstrate ability to work with diverse populations.
- Demonstrate basic piano skills.
- Demonstrate ability to sight sing.
- Demonstrate ability to sing and model good singing for members.
- Demonstrate knowledge of choral techniques, diverse musical styles, and choral repertoire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team.
Preferred:
- BA in Music or BM or equivalent.
