Summary

About the Role
As a Certified Youth Peer Support Specialist, you will engage with youth and young adults, helping them navigate their mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include attending training, building relationships with clients and their families, and actively participating in treatment planning processes. You will leverage your lived experience to support others in their recovery journey.
About You
Required:
- Direct lived experience with mental health challenges as a youth.
- Certification as a Youth Peer Support Specialist.
- Completion of a minimum of 32 continuing education hours of approved training within the last two years.
- Aged 18 through 28 with lived experience of mental health challenges.
Preferred:
- Experience receiving services in various systems such as child welfare, education, and justice.
- Primary diagnosis of a mental health condition.
- Strong personal knowledge of navigating complex mental health treatment services.
