About the Role
As a Certified Peer Support Youth (CPS-Y), you will be responsible for promoting recovery and resiliency among youth and their families. Your primary functions will include providing resources and educational materials, facilitating advocacy, and collaborating with agency staff and community organizations to support families. You will also deliver intentional support activities that build on the strengths of the youth and their caregivers.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Personal experience with children's mental health and willingness to share personal experiences.
- Current Alabama driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred:
- Experience in mental health support or peer support roles.
- Knowledge of cultural diversity and ability to work with multi-problem families.
- Competent computer skills.
