About the Role
As a Certified First Assistant Surgery, you will provide direct and indirect technical care to surgical and obstetrical patients, facilitate safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, and follow established practices and standards. You will complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period and perform other related duties as assigned.
About You
Required:
- Graduate of a Surgical First Assistant program with eligibility to earn certification through NBSTSA, ABSA, or NSAA within 120 days from graduation.
- Must be Certified Surgical Technologist.
- 1 year of recent operating room experience, including direct patient contact and the practice of proper sterile technique.
- Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
Preferred:
- 2 or more years of recent operating room experience.
- Certification as a certified first assistant through the NBSTSA, ABSA, or NSAA.
