About the Role

As a Certified Coder II, you will be responsible for coding diagnosis and procedures for day surgery, outpatient interventional radiology, and maternal and newborn records. You will ensure accurate coding in accordance with established guidelines and confirm that codes are sequenced correctly for appropriate reimbursement. The position may involve querying providers for documentation clarification and maintaining productivity and quality standards.

About You

Required:

Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology or a related field, or 5+ years of outpatient coding experience in a hospital setting.
2+ years of outpatient coding experience in a hospital setting.
Current Medical Coding Certification through AAPC, AHIMA, or an accredited organization.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Technology or a related field.
Inpatient, day surgery, and observation coding experience.
