About the Role
As a Calibration Laboratory & Optical Repair Technician II, you will be responsible for precision calibration of test and measurement instruments, ensuring traceability to national or international standards, maintaining detailed documentation, and supporting quality and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding repair status and recommend improvements to calibration workflows.
About You
Required:
- Associate degree or equivalent in Electronics, Photonics, Engineering Technology, or on-the-job training.
- 2+ years of experience in calibration and/or repair of electronic and optical test equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical and fiber optic components, test procedures, and safety practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Proficient with PC-based tools, experience with calibration software (e.g., MET/TEAM).
- Working knowledge of calibration standards and uncertainty analysis (ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3).
- Any additional experience in repairing electrical and optical instruments.
