About the Role
As a Cable Splicing Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-level splicing, ensuring all work meets quality standards and project specifications. Your daily tasks will include operating fusion splicing equipment, conducting fiber characterization and testing, and maintaining accurate documentation. You will also be required to follow safety guidelines and company protocols on site.
About You
Required:
- Proven experience with 3456 fiber splicing.
- Ability to successfully pass a practical test on 3456 splicing.
- Strong knowledge of fusion splicing, OTDR testing, and fiber optic standards.
- Ability to read and interpret splicing diagrams, schematics, and work orders.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in outdoor/field conditions.
Preferred:
- Multiple years of experience splicing high-count fiber optic cables.
- Experience working on data centers, backbone fiber builds, or large-scale telecom projects.
