West-Island Conseils is seeking an AV & Show Control Design Engineer to join their team in Orlando, FL. The role involves collaborating with various departments to design and implement audiovisual systems for the entertainment industry.
About the Role
As an AV & Show Control Design Engineer, you will participate in project design meetings, conduct site surveys, and create detailed assessment reports. Your responsibilities include developing AV and Control design packages, analyzing user needs, and providing technical oversight during system integration. You will also assist programmers in developing user interfaces and support account executives in preparing bids.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Engineering program or related technical discipline.
5-10 years of experience in the Audio-Visual commercial solution/services industry.
Preferred:
Advanced knowledge of network design methods applied to AV systems.
Proficiency in control system architecture and programming for platforms such as Medialon, Q-SYS, Node-Red, and Crestron.
Experience with audio and video processing systems like Q-SYS and Barco E2.
Familiarity with media servers and generative engines.
Experience with AutoCAD or Vectorworks.
