About the Role
As an Assistant Counsel, you will analyze potential violations of Public Service Law, lead investigations, conduct legal research, draft orders, examine witnesses, and represent the Commission in legal proceedings. You will engage in complex regulatory law issues and contribute to consumer protection matters.
About You
Required:
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- Two years of experience in the practice of law subsequent to Bar admission.
Preferred:
- Multi-year prior litigation and/or government prosecutor experience.
- Strong communications and investigation skills.
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience in regulatory law including the energy, telecommunications, or water sectors.
