About the Role
As an APP in the Pediatric Emergency Department, you will collaborate with attending physicians to deliver exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will include comprehensive assessments, triage, and management of patient needs, performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, and formulating treatment plans. You will also educate patients and families, ensure meticulous documentation, and uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety.
About You
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
- Active PA Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or current Connecticut State Nurse Practitioner License.
Preferred:
- Prior clinical working experience as an NP/PA within a pediatric specialty/service line.
- PALS certification and skills in IV placement, suturing, and management of pediatric emergencies.
